Resources

Thanks for caring about yourself! These Resources are meant to be used to further your Journey into Becoming your Authentic Self, something that is often taken away in abusive relationships of any kind, be it childhood, friendships, family or significant others.

Many more will be added!

Team Meeting

Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families

https://adultchildren.org/newcomer/

This is a 12 Step Group that "focuses on emotional sobriety."

This is a self supporting group who gathers for weekly meetings of support. They share tools for dealing with trauma and for growth in a positive direction. Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families began in 1978 and is stronger than ever today. It is a wonderful resource for meeting others, for learning how to open up and for personal growth.

Waves

International Association For Suicide Prevention

https://www.iasp.info/suicidalthoughts/

This site contains links to several different sites including ones where you can remain completely anonymous. Very thorough and positive.

Garden Path

211.org

211.org is a social services directory which can be used throughout the United States. They can direct you to Homeless Prevention, Eviction resources, Utility Assistance, mental health services, clothing, food and household supplies, support services for domestic violence and human trafficking, transportation, financial assistance, meal delivery and hunger reduction.

Yes, they really are amazing! Just call 211 or visit their website! The trauma that many of us have gone through can often leave us in financial ruin. Reach out for the help you need! This is why they are there. They understand...they get it. They can help to make your pathway more beautiful.

Lazy Seal

Easter Seals

https://www.easterseals.com/

A comprehensive resource for people with disabilities...be it physical, autism, or mental illness. They also include in home senior care, adult day care, caregiving services and caregiver respite services. Those are just a few.

Owning up to who we are and what are actual needs are is a powerful sign of growth. Be undeterred in what you think others will think...go for your needs. When these are satisfied, everything else will stabilize and calm down enough for you to address them one by one.
